Basic Spanish and English: Days of the Week and Month of the Year

Here are some few Spanish and English words for the Days of the Week and the Month of the Year. If you know the language then test yourself to see if you can get all of them correct and for those who know little or no Spanish, you might just learn some basic words from the language using the calendar.

Interestingly, If you observe the table below showing the Days of the Week, you will notice that the days of the week begins with lunes (Monday) and not domino (Sunday). This is because in Spanish-speaking countries, the week begins on Monday. Also, they do not capitalize months or days of the week.
